More than half a million children suffer abuse or neglect in the UK a year

It’s estimated more than half a million children suffer abuse or neglect in the UK a year. That’s why we’re leading the fight against child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands.

For over 130 years we have helped bring about huge changes for children but we know that, in an ever-changing world, there are more challenges to come.

The simple fact is that we rely on the generosity of people like you to make sure we’re ready to face them. Your support will mean we can fight for every childhood – and be best placed to keep doing this for generations to come.

We help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening. Tragically, abuse and neglect are still commonplace and there is a continuing need for our services.

Donations will go towards projects such as the NSPCC Schools Service’s, Speak out. Stay safe. programme. The service is giving a generation of children the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. By helping children understand and identify abuse in an age appropriate way, we can encourage them to speak out earlier and protect themselves and others from the devastating effects of abuse.

Gifts kindly left to us in supporter’s wills help us to continue vital work like this in the future. After you have taken care of your loved ones, a small percentage of whatever’s left could help us be there for every child in the future.

Get in touch to find out how you can become a guardian for future generations through a gift in your will.
